Stay Eastside Launches; More Than 150 Small Businesses Join
Kirkland and Redmond announced today a new partnership called Stay Eastside. The announcement is part of a cooperative regional tourism partnership aimed at supporting hotels and giving small businesses a boost in their respective cities.
The promotion offers $100 vouchers in Redmond’s Geek Out Gold or Kirkland Ca$h local business currencies. The offer is limited to the first 1,000 guest bookings, or 500 in each city, as visitors “check in” and reserve their hotel stay exclusively through Stay Eastside.
Participating businesses include a mix of restaurants, retailers, bakeries, boutiques, various activities, galleries, salons, bookstores, pet supply stores and more. It looks to revive and support Eastside businesses that continue to grapple with the impacts and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s exciting for us and we’re thankful for the support it brings our way,” said Joanna Reis, co-owner of The Box & Burgers Eatery in Kirkland’s Totem Lake area, in a release. “We know the marketing behind this effort will attract new visitors to our area and we look forward to welcoming them.”
The promotional partnership features more than 150 participating businesses within the two communities. The campaign is backed by the City of Redmond, the City of Kirkland, Experience Redmond, OneRedmond, Explore Kirkland, and Shop Local Kirkland.
